By downloading or using DishDNA ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The Service
DishDNA analyzes photos or text you provide and uses a third-party AI service (Google Gemini) to suggest recipes, ingredients, and nutritional estimates. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
2. AI-Generated Content & Food Safety
Recipes, ingredient lists, nutrition values, allergen handling, and cooking instructions are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are suggestions only, not professional, medical, dietary, or nutritional advice.
You are responsible for verifying ingredients and instructions before cooking or eating. If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or health conditions, always check labels and consult a qualified professional. Do not rely on the App to avoid allergens. Cook and handle food safely.
3. Accounts & Backup
You may optionally sign in with Google or Apple to back up your saved recipes and settings. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in account. You may delete your account and data at any time in the App or by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy.
4. Your Content & Sharing
You retain ownership of photos you provide. When you create a share link, the recipe content is stored at a publicly accessible URL that anyone with the link can view. Do not share content that is illegal or infringes others' rights.
5. Acceptable Use & Fair Use
- Do not misuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the App or its servers.
- Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not access the Service through bots, scripts, or other automated means, and do not generate an abnormal volume of requests.
- Plans described as "unlimited" are for normal personal use and are subject to reasonable fair-use and anti-abuse safeguards (including rate limiting). We may temporarily throttle requests that appear automated or abnormally high to protect the Service for all users. These safeguards are set well above ordinary personal use.
6. Subscriptions
Premium is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play. Where a free trial is offered, your paid subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any harm arising from reliance on AI-generated content, including allergic reactions, illness, or injury related to food preparation.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
